Bridgeview Toastmasters club, chartered on 9/1/2005, is the right place to be if you want to advance in your career goals and to have fun. The mission of the Bridgeview Toastmasters Club is to have fun and to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn, foster self confidence and personal growth.
Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation. Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent or retiree, Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication skills. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, you open an entirely new world of possibilities. You’ll be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations, and you’ll improve your one-on-one dealings with others.
Don’t worry! Everyone in a Toastmasters club was once at the level you are now. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment. And you’ll love the applause! Constructive evaluation is the heart of the Toastmasters program. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. At first you’ll be applauded for your effort; later you’ll be applauded for your skill.
All About Bridgeview Toastmasters
We have exciting fun-filled meetings at the Bridgeview Toastmasters Club. We meet at 12:05 PM every Tuesday at one of the meeting rooms (often at the DVA Room a separate building to the left of the main building) at Asten Johnson Company on Corporate Road, off Bridgeview Drive. The meetings last exactly one hour.
Come join us for toasting words and for a fun time! Having fun is our motto!
We have a dedicated group of senior toastmasters who are there to walk you through your progress in your speaking and leadership goals. The membership is 32 dollars for every six months (27 dollars for the Toastmasters International and 5 dollars local club fees). You pay a one time fee of $20.00 to get your speech manuals. The charges are pro-rated depending on when you join.
